Navy League Awards CACI International Chairman, CEO Dr. Jack London 2007 Nimitz Award at Exposition

The Navy League of the United States presented its 2007 Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz award for exemplary leadership in the maritime defense industry to Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, Chairman and CEO of CACI International, Inc., at the Navy League Sea-Air-Space Exposition banquet on Wednesday, April 4 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Dr. London is recognized as a defense industry leader with more than 35 years of support to U.S. maritime forces. Under his direction, CACI has expanded its services and increased the focus on critical maritime programs such as Network Centric Warfare, the Navy’s Enterprise Maintenance Automated Information Systems and the Naval Aviation Enterprise, for which he has received repeated accolades from the top leadership in Department of Navy.

A 1959 graduate of the Naval Academy, naval aviator and retired reserve captain, Dr. London has served as CACI’s chief executive officer since 1984. He has dedicated his efforts to building CACI into one of the U.S. government’s premier technology partners. Headquartered in Arlington, Va., CACI is one of the Fortune 1000 Largest Companies of 2006 and employs approximately 10,000 employees in over 130 offices in the U.S. and Europe.

“Whether speaking about the role of technology in fighting the Global War on Terror or promoting corporate accountability, Dr. London exemplifies what it means to be a leader,” said John A. Panneton, National President of the Navy League. “Jack leads by personal example and holds a focused vision for sustaining CACI’s exemplary business achievements through ethical practices.”

Dr. London's industry recognition includes being named CEO of the Year by George Washington University and Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young. Each year since 2002, the HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington presents its annual Ethics in Business Award for industry leadership in Dr. London's name.

The Navy League’s Nimitz award is named after Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, whose qualities of leadership, statesmanship and dedication, exemplify his commitment to the need for a strong maritime defense supported by American industry.
