The U.S. Navy League’s 2007 Sea-Air-Space Exposition held in Washington, D.C. was, with more than 10,000 attendees, the largest exposition in the event’s 42 year history. As the world’s premier maritime defense symposium, the Sea-Air-Space Exposition invites exhibitors to showcase the very best technologies and equipment available to Sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and Merchant Mariners. This year’s displays canvassed most of the hotel’s sprawling exhibit floors, and featured exhibition booths representing maritime industry corporations, military agencies, educators, publishers and service providers. Included among the many exhibitors were BAE, Bearing Point, CACI, KBR, SAIC, DRC Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Siemens, Telephonics, Northrop Grumman, Fincantieri Marine Systems, and Canada: Partners in Defense. Many incorporated sophisticated interactive displays, detailed ship, aircraft and weapons models, as well as actual vehicles, engines, arms, and other systems technology apparatus to illustrate a vast range of naval military capabilities. Seminars were offered throughout the three-day event in addition to five educational panel symposia. |
