The National Capital Council of the Navy League recently presented the Commodore Ellsworth P. Bertholf Award to Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN.) at a breakfast ceremony at Coast Guard HQ in Washington, DC.

The Bertholf Award is an annual award that is presented to a member of Congress who demonstrates long-term vision and leadership, as well as making substantial contributions in support the Coast Guard to enhance the ability of the agency to carry out its mission.
