Denver Council presents NROTC “Outstanding Leadership” award to CU Senior

University of Colorado NROTC Midshipman Ben Rhea-Carver was presented with the Navy League “Outstanding Leadership” award on April 17th. The presentation was made by Denver Council board members Joe Mahaffey and Steve Kelly at the annual Tri-Service awards ceremony on the CU campus. Midshipman Rhea-Carver will be graduating on May 9th with a degree in aerospace engineering.  A native of Golden, Colorado, he hopes to pursue a career in Naval Aviation, specializing in rotary wing aircraft.

The Denver Council presents this award annually to a student enrolled in the NROTC program who has displayed outstanding leadership during the year.
