Atlanta Metropolitan Council supports Navy Recruiting District Annual Awards Banquet...

Also: Vets Day Parade and Dinner and WWII Vet Recognition

The Navy League's Atlanta Metropolitan Council presented awards at the Navy Recruiting District Annual Awards Banquet on November 8 at the Ravinia Crowne Plaza Hotel. Past President Harley Jones, Vice President for Legislative Affairs Don Giles and Council Chaplain LT Danny Camp, NSCC (pictured at left) represented the Council.

Chaplain Camp, an ordained Southern Baptist Minister, was asked by Commanding Officer CDR Greg LaFave, USN, to serve as the NRD Chaplain. He delivered the Invocation and Benediction at the dinner.

As part of the council’s continuing support of Atlanta Area Navy Command outstanding sailors, we presented 5 $50 debit card awards that evening. The Customer Service Awards went to MC1 Kirk and AO1 (AW) Merrick; the Active Recruiter of the Year award was presented to FT1 (SS) Cousins; Reserve Recruiter of the Year to SK2 Henderson, and the CO’s Special Recognition award to PS1 Keel.
