Pacific Southwest Region announces upcoming council events ...

The San Diego Council's Marine Birthday Luncheon is 7 November at the Sheraton Hotel & Marina. Contact Jay Lott at their headquarters for more information. The women of the Council will have a Bake Sale on 11 October at the Naval Medical Center Courtyard.

The Santa Barbara Council will hold a Big Band Bash and Swing Dance Contest on 20 October honoring Active Duty men and women. Call 805-879-1598 for more information.

The Coronado Council will host Rear Admiral Garry Bonelli as their speaker on 23 October at the Coronado Yacht Club. Call Harlan at 619-463-7904 for more information.

The Imperial Valley Council is collecting conservative, modest girls clothing and toys for the Children's Hospital in Iraq. If you would like to help, call Gary at 760-352-851 for information.

The Newport Beach Council will have a meeting on 6 November to elect new officers.

The Tucson Council's next meeting will feature the Commanding Officer of the Tucson Navy Operation Support Center.

The Long Beach Council is encouraging all members to send Sea Service men and women cards/letters of encouragement and phone calling cards this holiday season.
