COVER STORY
The U.S. Navy intends to broaden the scope of its Aegis missile defense system to provide a bigger shield against ballistic missile threats. Recent tests of the system have proven very successful, reversing a string of earlier failures. Citing a growing threat from North Korea, advocates of a robust missile defense system are urging the pace of development be quickened.
