INTERVIEW: ADM. MIKE MULLEN
The
chief of naval operations seeks to resolve a national “crisis” in
naval shipbuilding by emphasizing stability, initiative and a less
chaotic relationship between the Navy, government and industry. At
the same time, he is setting the course for a new vision of sea power
where humanitarian work and cultural relations are given greater prominence
as U.S. forces go farther afield.
