Navy League Foundation 2014-2015 Scholarship Recipients

RADM William A. Sullivan, USN (Ret) Scholarship: Aaron Parisi of San Diego, Calif.

Aaron will be attending California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He plans to study electrical engineering, and would like to minor in physics and computer science. Aaron hopes to make his lifelong dream of designing and building robots a reality. Aaron’s mother, Georginne Parisi, served in the U. S. Navy as an intelligence officer for 20 years.


Rockwell Collins Scholarship: Savannah “Sage” Dunne of Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Sage will be attending Auburn University where she will study Industrial Engineering, to pursue her passion of mathematics and strong desire to improve her surroundings and the lives of others. She would like to establish a firm base as an engineer and then take her skills internationally to work in third world countries and help the less fortunate. Sage is the daughter of two former naval officers, LT Mary Dunne, USN, and CAPT Michael R. Dunne, USN (ret.), who served on the USS Enterprise.


CAPT Ernest G. “Scotty” Campbell, USN (Ret) and Renee Campbell Scholarship: Ian Ryman of Brandon, Fla.

Ian plans to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, in Daytona Beach, FL. His knack for calculus and physics, combined with his love of flying inspired him to pursue an aerospace engineering major. Ian would like to become an aerospace engineer for either a major airline company or for a military contractor. Ian is the son of Jeffrey William Ryman, who was an Operations Specialist in the U.S. Navy.


Subic Bay-Cubi Point Scholarship: Tyler Grant of Simpsonville, S.C.

Tyler will be attending the University of Miami in the fall where he plans to major in neuroscience. After college, Tyler anticipates attending medical school to become a Navy physician. Tyler is the son of CDR Douglas Grant, USNR (Ret.), and Cynthia Grant, and his brother, Andrew, is a midshipman 4/C at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis Md.
