The Navy League mission extends not to just active-duty personnel but their families as well. The Honolulu Council was happy to support a Mother’s Day pottery event for sea service families, providing pizza for all who attended. At a separate event, the council hosted families from the USS Columbia for their lei making and single sailor bags as they prepared for the return of the crew from deployment.
Taking a council trip together, members visited the Marine Corps training facility at Bellows. The briefing included a tour of the facility as well as an introduction to its capabilities. Sounds like a great outing!
