New Hampshire Navy League Celebrates Navy’s 250th Birthday

The New Hampshire Navy League Council hosted its 250th U.S. Navy Birthday Ball, welcoming 200 guests, including 90 active-duty service members, for an unforgettable evening honoring the Navy’s milestone anniversary.

The event featured Captain Jason Deichler, Commodore of Submarine Squadron Two, as the guest of honor. His keynote speech reflected on the Navy’s enduring legacy and the importance of continued service and sacrifice.

Guests enjoyed a night of celebration, tradition, and camaraderie, marked by two ceremonial birthday cakes to commemorate the occasion. The Council also shared video messages from Vice Admiral Robert Gaucher, Commander, Naval Submarine Forces, and Commander Shawn Callihan, Commanding Officer of USS Manchester (LCS-14), adding a special touch to an already memorable event.

Thank you to all who attended, contributed, and sponsored this once-in-a-lifetime celebration. The Navy League extends its deepest gratitude to those who made the evening a success and helped honor 250 years of the United States Navy.
