Hampton Roads Honors the Vital Role of Ombudsmen

On Sept. 18, the Hampton Roads Council proudly hosted the Ombudsman Recognition Dinner at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center. With more than 400 attendees, including 80 Command Ombudsmen, more than 70 Commands, Command Triads, shipmates, and family members, it was a night dedicated to celebrating the selfless service and vital role Ombudsmen play in supporting our Navy families.

Vice Admiral John Gumbleton, acting commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, delivered inspiring remarks praising the dedication of the Ombudsmen community. The council was also proud to welcome Mary Stork, senior vice president at USAA, who shared her appreciation and encouragement for these extraordinary volunteers.

Thank you for remembering and honoring the Ombudsmen. BZ! See more pictures here.
