Navy League Foundation Announces 2026 Scholarship Recipients

The Navy League Foundation is proud to recognize six outstanding students from sea service families as its 2026 scholarship recipients.

This year’s recipients include children and grandchildren of U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps service members and veterans who are preparing to pursue degrees in engineering, biomedical research, political science, public service, health care and more. Through donor-supported scholarships, the Navy League Foundation helps ease the financial burden of higher education while honoring the service and sacrifices of sea service families.

2026 Navy League Foundation Scholarship Recipients

Mia Tarampi

Captain J. Phillip London Scholarship

Mia Tarampi, daughter of U.S. Navy veteran Alexander Tarampi, is a graduate of Tallwood High School in Virginia Beach and will attend the University of Virginia. A high-achieving student with a strong interest in science, math and medical research, Mia maintained a 4.0 unweighted GPA while taking rigorous coursework, including AP Biology and dual-enrollment calculus.
Mia served as co-president of her school’s Filipino Culture Club and held a leadership role with the Global Studies Honor Society. Through her studies, Mia hopes to advance medical research, support equitable health care solutions and make a positive impact in her community. She is the first ever recipient of the Captain J. Phillip London Scholarship.

Jack and Eileen Anderson Scholarship

Erin Muse, daughter of a U.S. Marine veteran and granddaughter of a Navy veteran, is a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas, and will attend Yale University, where she plans to major in Ethics, Politics and Economics. Erin has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement, public service and leadership. She served as president of her school’s Youth and Government delegation and president of the Highlander Band, leading more than 100 student musicians. She also served as Fellowship Chair of the John Milton Freedom Foundation, a nonprofit focused on press freedom and independent journalism. Erin plans to attend law school and pursue a career in public service, constitutional law and public policy.

Madilyn Lemke

Collins Aerospace Scholarship

Madilyn Lemke, daughter of Capt. Vincent Lemke, USMC, is a graduate of Swansboro High School and will attend Clemson University in fall 2026 to study chemical engineering. A dedicated student and leader, Madilyn challenged herself with AP and college-level coursework while maintaining a 4.733 weighted GPA. Her achievements include AP Scholar with Distinction, National Rural and Small Town Recognition, Principal’s List, HOBY Leadership Program participation and recognition from the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Madilyn plans to pursue opportunities in chemical engineering research and development, with an interest in biomedical applications and products that can improve lives.

USS Mahan Scholarship

Ella Mogilevsky, daughter of two U.S. Navy veterans, is a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School in Pennsylvania and will attend King’s College, where she will begin an accelerated Physician Assistant program.
Raised in a dual-military family, Ella said service, integrity and accountability were part of everyday life. Her mother graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a Surface Warfare Officer, while her father retired after 20 years in the Navy as a Supply Corps Officer. Ella held leadership roles as a class officer, Student Council member, Crew Lead at AMC Theatres and co-president of her school’s French Club. She was also active in Key Club, Mini-THON, Club Green, Neuroscience Club, County Choir, school musicals, church service and community initiatives. She hopes to build a career in health care focused on helping others and improving patients’ quality of life.

Margaret White

CAPT Ernest & Renee Campbell Scholarship

Margaret White, granddaughter of U.S. Navy veteran Timothy Barrett, is a graduate of Discovery High School and will attend The Ohio State University to study political science. Inspired by her grandfather’s service aboard USS Lapon, Margaret said the scholarship allows her to represent his legacy while pursuing her education.
Margaret served as commanding officer of her NJROTC program and was active in Beta Club, church youth group, volunteer work at Rising Hope Farms and community service. She also participated in boxing and worked while balancing a rigorous academic schedule.
After college, Margaret plans to attend law school and pursue a career in law and public service.

RADM William A. Sullivan Scholarship

Victoria Hookes, granddaughter of U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer James D. Gilbert, is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School in San Diego, where she ranked seventh in a class of 633 students and maintained a 4.86 GPA.

Victoria will attend UCLA to study chemical engineering. Her interests in science, math and engineering began at an early age and grew through years of advanced coursework, tutoring and hands-on design experience. She served as design lead for her FRC robotics team, helping CAD a large portion of the team’s robot and contributing to award-winning performances at competitions, including the FRC World Championship.

Victoria hopes to use her engineering education to make a positive impact, with an interest in working as a civilian chemical engineer for the military and eventually teaching chemical engineering at the university level.
