Remembering the Life of Pam Ammerman 

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you of the passing of Ms. Pam Ammerman, a cherished member of the Navy League and a devoted advocate for our mission. Pam’s commitment and service to our organization spanned nearly four decades, and her contributions were invaluable. 

Pam joined the Navy League as a life member in May 1984 and immediately became an integral part of our organization. Her dedication to our mission was evident through her active involvement with the San Diego Council, where she worked tirelessly to promote the welfare of our sea services and strengthen the bonds between our members.  

From 2012 to 2014, Pam served with distinction as Area President, during which she demonstrated exemplary leadership and a tireless commitment to our values. Following this, Pam took on the role of National Corporate Secretary, serving from 2014 until 2023. In this capacity, she not only ensured the smooth operational governance of our organization but also mentored many members, sharing her wisdom and passion for service. 

Prior to her tenure as secretary, Pam dedicated several years as National Vice President, further showcasing her unwavering commitment and support for our community. Throughout her time with the Navy League, she inspired countless individuals with her passionate advocacy and genuine love for the Navy League. 

Pam Ammerman was not only a leader but a friend to many of us. Her kindness, generosity and unwavering spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate her remarkable life and the legacy she leaves behind within our Navy League family and those whom she loved. 

We will miss her dearly. Her remarkable contributions and the warmth she brought to our community will never be forgotten. Let us honor Pam’s memory by continuing to uphold the values she championed and by supporting one another during this difficult time.
