Joined by Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, NAS Kingsville, Chief of Naval Air Training personnel, family, and guests, the Corpus Christi Council and Kingsville Council co-hosted their local 250th U.S. Navy Birthday Ball, flawlessly organized by a combined Navy Ball Committee. More than 600 guests were in attendance to enjoy food, drink, music and celebration.
Mike Stevens, CEO of the Navy League of the United States and U.S. Navy retiree as the 13th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, delivered an inspirational speech as the keynote speaker. Rear Admiral Max McCoy, Jr. was the senior officer presiding and helped cut the ceremonial cake with the two most junior Sailors, along with Mike Stevens.
