On Jan. 7, the San Diego Council’s Homecoming Committee joined families and friends in greeting more than 300 Sailors attached to USS Fitzgerald’s return to homeport from its seven-month overseas deployment to the 3rd, 7th and 5th Fleet areas of operations. Fitzgerald conducted a wide range of operations, including routine presence patrols and maritime security operations. Welcome home, FITZ, and Bravo Zulu to the homecoming committee.
