Making the trip to the Boston area, the Hampton Roads Council hosted an event to celebrate the life and legacy of President John F. Kennedy and to honor the future aircraft carrier, USS John F. Kennedy (CVN-79), set to join the fleet in late 2025. Some of the key highlights were a special performance by the Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums, the unveiling of a commissioned painting of the USS Kennedy and numerous sea service speakers.
