Kingsville, TX Navy League

On August 20th, the Kingsville Council of the Navy League proudly adopted the USS KINGSVILLE LCS 36, strengthening its ongoing support for U.S. sea service members and their families. The adoption ceremony, hosted aboard the USS Kingsville by Commander Ludwig Mann III, highlighted the council’s commitment to the crew and their families.

Council members toured the ship and presented the crew with custom USS Kingsville t-shirts, pins, and decals as a show of appreciation.

On August 24, the USS Kingsville was officially commissioned in Corpus Christi, Texas, marking a historic occasion as the first Navy ship named in honor of Kingsville, Texas. The council attended the ship’s commissioning to celebrate the latest addition to the naval fleet, selling USS Kingsville merch at their booth to support their council.  Through this adoption, the council now supports six local commands, continuing its mission to advocate for America’s sea services.

With a friendly wave, members of the Kingsville Council bid farewell to their adopted crew of USS Kingsville as it left port at the Art Museum of South Texas on Aug. 26.

Before the commissioning, the council members had the chance to tour USS Kingsville and officially adopt the ship, promising to support the crew. Fair winds and following seas to the new crew!
