San Diego Council Board of Directors Jay Rindler and Charles Clarke visited Marine Corps Air Station Miramar to present the 3rd Marine Air Wing & Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Marine & Sailor of the (4th Qtr CY24) Quarter and of the Year Awards on Feb. 5. Great work!
The council also hosted its first breakfast event of the year on Feb. 7 with Commanding Officer, Maritime Security Response Team West Captain Robert J. Berry serving as guest speaker. During this event, his Coast Guard crew were recognized for their outstanding performance as 2024 Enlisted Person of the Year, Enlisted Person of the Quarter (4th Qtr.) and for sustained superior performance. Additional recognition was given to Board of Director Captain Dave Grundies, USN(Ret) and Webmaster Diana Alvarez who received certificate of appreciation on behalf of California House of Representatives District 51 Juan Vargas. Navy League Member Laura Chigos was also awarded the Sea Services Appreciation honor for her strong support of the council. Special recognition of the 2024 Navy Leaguer of the Year Award was presented to Webmaster and Photographer Diana Alvarez. Thank you for serving our country and volunteering for a worthy cause.
