San Diego Council’s Homecoming Committee joined proud families and friends to welcome home more than 400 Sailors aboard USS Lake Erie (CG 70) as the ship returned to homeport at Naval Base San Diego, capping an 11-month deployment with the U.S. 4th Fleet.
USS Lake Erie is a Ticonderoga-class Guided Missile Cruiser equipped with the MK41 Vertical Launch Missile System.
A huge thank you to our Homecoming and Operations Chair Jay Rindler and the entire committee for making this reunion possible. Well done, Lake Erie; welcome home!
