Greater Charleston Council member Mike McAllister was recognized as a “community hero” at a recent Charleston Battery military appreciation night. He accepted a $1,000 donation on behalf of the council during the event at the Charleston RiverDogs. The halftime ceremony noted the Navy League’s support of the sea services in the Lowcountry and the successful campaign to have Greater Charleston officially designated as a “Coast Guard Community.” Bravo Zulu!
