On March 28, the Navy League of the United States, Hampton Roads Council, brought together a powerful coalition of voices in support of our maritime services during their annual Congressional Roundtable Luncheon.
Held in the heart of one of the nation’s most active maritime regions, the event welcomed over 350 attendees, including Navy League members, industry partners, and public officials. This year’s luncheon featured a distinguished lineup of congressional leaders—Rep. Rob Wittman (VA-01), Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02), Rep. Bobby Scott (VA-03), and Rep. Jennifer McClellan—who participated in an engaging Q&A session moderated by Captain Lou Schager, CFE, USN (Ret.). The questions, submitted by attendees, reflected the community’s commitment to strengthening national defense and supporting those who serve at sea.
The program began with opening remarks from Admiral Daryl Caudle, Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, who underscored the importance of sea power and strategic readiness.
This event was made possible thanks to the generous support of sponsors, whose continued commitment to the mission of the Navy League is deeply appreciated. Our sincere thanks go to: Técnico Corporation, Navy Mutual Aid Association, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Old Dominion University, Vectrona, Global Technical Systems, ITA International, Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Valkyrie Enterprises, Colonna’s Shipyard, Collins Machine Works, Fairlead, Oceaneering, QED Systems, Charlie Arrants, and Wayne Anderson.
The Hampton Roads Council continues to lead by example, advancing the Navy League’s mission by fostering dialogue between elected leaders and the maritime community. Events like this ensure our sea services receive the recognition, support, and resources they deserve.
