The Hampton Roads Navy League Council, under the leadership of President Maryellen Baldwin, was recently featured by Eugene Daniel from 13News Now (WVEC) as part of their Military Support Spotlight week. This initiative highlights organizations that go above and beyond in supporting the military community in Hampton Roads.
President Maryellen Baldwin shared, “We have been in Hampton Roads for a little over 70 years. The Navy knows. The Coast Guard knows. The Marines know we are here. You’d be surprised how many things that we get called upon that will never get any notice.” Baldwin emphasized the importance of their work, stating, “Our tax dollars fund incredible warships. There’s no question about it. But what we put into the ships are areas on board that improve the quality of life.”
