National Capital Council Board Member Bill Park with Executive Director Bethany Klein presented Command Master Chief Kimberly Ferguson with morale funding to support the more than 900 officer and enlisted military members stationed at Naval District Washington.
Naval District Washington is the U.S. Navy’s oldest shore establishment. It was authorized by the first Secretary of the Navy in 1799. Today, Naval District Washington includes 7 installations and encompasses more than 4,000 square miles.
