Navy League Announces 2022-2023 Scholarship Winners

The Navy League is proud to announce the Navy League 2022-2023 scholarship award winners. These students come from families of sea service veterans and excelled in both academic achievements and extracurricular activities before attending college.

We are able to award these scholarships thanks to the generous donations our foundation receives. All of our scholarships go toward the children or grandchildren of sea service members to help offset the cost of attending a university.

Jack and Eileen Anderson Scholarship

Trent Jenning is our top scholarship applicant for 2022. He maintained an “A” average throughout his high school career and scoring high on the ACT exam. Trent not only excelled in the classroom but on the playing field as a cross-country competitor and in his community as a church volunteer and altar server. In addition, he volunteered at a food bank serving food to the less fortunate in his free time. Trent stands out to his teachers and peers because of his character, dedication and intelligence. His inspiration to go to college comes from his grandfather, who served in the Navy and became a successful U.S. Naval Dental Technician despite his financial hardships. His grandfather and grandmother became ill while Trent was at an early age, leaving he and his mother to be their primary caregivers. Both grandparents have passed away, but they inspired Trent to always strive to be the best version of himself. College is a very important goal for him. He shared in his application that a Navy League scholarship would help relieve the financial burden that comes with attending college. Trent plans to major in chemical engineering in the Fall.
