Honolulu Council Supports Submarine Families Through Silver and Gold Auction

On March 8, the Honolulu Navy League proudly supported the Silver and Gold Auction, an annual event benefiting the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation, which provides educational scholarships for the dependents of submariners.

This year’s event marked a record turnout of submariners, spouses, and sea service supporters. The Honolulu Council contributed a beautifully crafted cake for the auction, which was ultimately won by Captain Dan Jones, Commanding Officer of the Council’s adopted submarine, USS Hawaii (SSN 776).

Captain Jones, whose leadership exemplifies the spirit of Kūpale ‘Āina – Defending the Land, continues to champion both mission readiness and community connection.

Congratulations to the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation and all participants for making this a record-breaking year in attendance and fundraising.
